Each Chakra signifies one of seven basic energy centers in the body. They represent a vortex that spins sacred life-force energy into or out of the body. The Chakra System is a map for the journey through life. Its seven rainbow colors represent the full spectrum of human possibility that stretches from the ordinary to the extraordinary, from Earth to heaven, forming a bridge towards our higher self and a higher state of being.
There are 7 Chakras connected to a physical body part. Each chakra transmits and receives life-force energy referred to as “chi”, “qi,” “prana,” or “universal intelligence.” There are also many minor Chakras, most of which are located at the joints of the physical body, as well as in the hands and feet. This is one of the reasons why I went to reflexology school years ago. I wanted to learn why I experience such an opening of the heart when I would get a foot massage.
The healing aspects of the chakras are undeniably one of the best ways to heal the physical body. On the physical level each chakra governs a main organ or gland.
Every organ, gland and body system is connected to a Chakra and each Chakra is connected to a color vibrational frequency. For example, the heart chakra governs the thymus gland and it is also in charge of the functioning of the heart organ, lungs, bronchia system, lymph glands, secondary circulatory system, our immune system, as well as the arm and hands. The heart Chakra resonates to the color green. Placing a jade crystal over the heart while holding a rose quartz in the hand is VERY healing to the heart.
The seven main Chakra centers are aligned along the spinal column. If there are disturbances on any level, this shows in the Chakra’s vitality level. This is where chiropractic adjustments can be helpful as well as aligning each chakra with the Crystal while laying in stillness.
On a mental level, every Chakra is not only controls aspects connected to our emotional, mental and spiritual belief system.
The physical body is a unit made of many different integral parts that are designed to be self-correcting. The body’s job is to maintain balance and the free-flow of this sacred energy.
When one part of a Chakra center is out of sync it eventually affects its other parts and possibly its neighboring Chakra. When a Chakra center is out of balance it generally means that it is over-active or under-active, or possibly congested or blocked. When this occurs it is felt on a mental, emotional or physical level. A few of the common symptoms of our chakras being out of alignment are *stress
The Chakras serve as an energetic gateway.
*inability to express emotions/buried feelings
*A disconnection from our third eye / our intuition
*Agreeing with beliefs that are not in alignment with our inner truth
*tired, lack luster energy
